I created this project to provide an interactive map for El Corte Inglés Portugal, one of the most renowned department store chains in the country. Known for its wide selection of products, premium services, and exceptional shopping experience, El Corte Inglés has two flagship stores in Portugal: one in Lisbon and another in Gaia-Porto. These stores span multiple floors, offering everything from fashion and electronics to groceries and gourmet dining.

The map was designed to serve as a guide for customers navigating the stores, providing detailed floor-by-floor information. Specifically, the map covers all 13 floors of the Lisbon store and the 13 floors of the Gaia-Porto store, helping customers easily locate departments, services, and other key areas within the stores.

This project was a unique challenge that combined technical development with user experience design. The result was a tool that not only enhanced customer convenience but also provided the store with a dynamic solution for managing their extensive layouts. It was rewarding to see how the combination of creativity and technology could deliver a practical and impactful solution for a leading retail brand.

Tech Stack
To build this map, I used JavaScript, PHP with CodeIgniter, CSS/SCSS, and MySQL. The project also included a custom back-office system that allows the store's management team to update and maintain the map seamlessly. The back-office enables the easy addition or modification of departments, floor layouts, and other content, ensuring that the map stays up-to-date with store changes.
